Singapore Giveaway...for Free!!

Andrea suggested that I spice up my blog by doing a free give away contest. So here it is, but first some background.

Singapore has its own fabric. It was designed for the staff of Singapore Airlines to wear, and even though we didn't fly on Singapore Airlines, I saw their stewardesses a few times in airports with their striking outfits. The fabric has a kind of Oriental look and comes in 4 colours. It is readily available here. So when I bought an outfit for Dorothee, I bought it in the red Singapore fabric. Isn't it cute?

Anyway, this is the giveaway item: a cute bag in the dark blue Singapore fabric. It is a good size, and coated with plastic for practical purposes. Could be useful for carrying anything, maybe a few grocery items from the store.

If you are interested in winning this bag, all you have to do is post a comment to this entry, and I will put your name into the draw. Then I will put the names in a hat, draw one out, and announce a winner. Come on now, I know you want it! If you have trouble posting a comment, just choose the Anonymous option and then say who you are. Good luck!

  1. I read the blog regularly. I want that bag. My name is Jim. Yes, I know, I am married to the blog writer, so that may rule me out of the contest. Oh well.

  2. You don't have to bribe us to read your blog Gloria. I read it every day. It is so interesting. I love hearing about your adventures right after they happen. Makes me feel like I am part of it.

Having said that - yes - I do want that bag. Put me in the hat. And no, I don't think Jim should be allowed to enter. Do I get one entry for every time I write in the blog now? Maybe I should just write "enter me" and hit "post" 55 times. Why 55 you ask? Well, I think that should do it.

Keep having fun and telling us about it. Charis

  3. Ignore Jim - he's motivated only by self-interest. I want the bag to help mankind. This is my entry. Please draw my name. Especially as this is my second post of the day! And when do we get a German-flavoured post - bratwurst, beer etc?

  4. Actually, to be fair - I think we should disqualify all your relatives from the contest - and those who don't live in Toronto - and all males - and everyone who didn't reply first to your contest - and everyone over 5'-1/4" tall and those under 5'-1/4" tall. Just to be safe, we had better disqualify anyone living on Harcourt Avenue. That should do it. Hope you accept the new rules. Charis

  5. You're fun-ny. Count us in too. You know I read about you everyday too. I even know when to expect your new blog to show up!

Cute outfit for Dorothee. I think she should model it for your grand finale blog.

Big win for the Canadiens. You will be back in time to cheer them on with Julien...er... or are you die hard TML fans?

  6. Oops - mistake. It should be everyone over 5'5-1/4" tall - and under who should be disqualified. Nothing against short people or tall people. I just think it's fair. Charis

I can't wait to see Dorothée in that awesome outfit! What size is it - and are the sizes even the same over there?

  9. My name is Ralph Lauren and I would like to feel the material. By the way, have you heard that Bob Beverley's book on Tiger Woods is almost out?
Could his book fit in the bag or couldhe sell my cologne with the book. Ask him....by the way, great blog.

  10. Ralph Lauren doesn't need that bag, Gloria. He just wants it for an advertising gimmick or to copy it and sell it in North America. However, those dark rich colours would be good for Bob though.

  11. I would put my name in to the pile but I feel obliged to stop thinking of myself & suggest the christian thing...didn't Gloria's sister have a recent milestone birthday? Wouldn't giving it to her be the right thing to do??? Pray about it folks!!
